In this week’s round 3 of BJFL Matches we are celebrating the work of Community Umpires in COMMUNITY UMPIRING WEEK .

Community Umpiring Week highlights the integral role umpires play at all levels of the game and aims to encourage people to recognise the importance of respect for umpires.

Can I ask all Coaches and Team Managers to make sure if you have supplied umpires from the B.U.A to please ensure you make an effort to Shake their hands and thank them for their efforts and most of all Please be respectful towards them.

Also, even if we have Dad’s or Mum’s Umpiring as Volunteers in our matches this weekend lets also be respectful and kind towards them.

WITHOUT UMPIRES, we wouldn’t have a game to play each week, so as a club let’s make a big effort to ensure our umpires in this week’s matches are recognised and thanked.
